About the Position
We are looking for a skilled Senior Automation Tester in Java to become part of our team.
In this position, you will contribute significantly to safeguarding the quality, dependability, and performance of our applications throughout the entire development lifecycle. You will work in close cooperation with development, DevOps, and product teams to advance automation initiatives and raise overall testing practices.
Responsibilities
- Prepare functional, integration, and acceptance test cases to verify system behavior
- Build automated test cases for regression, functional, and smoke testing
- Organize and carry out automation tasks while making sure testing standards are upheld across the team
- Weave test cycles into the DevOps pipeline to support continuous quality assurance
- Apply creative and efficient thinking to diagnose and fix system issues
- Automate testing for back-end services such as REST APIs together with front-end components
- Log and report defects in a clear manner to support effective issue tracking
- Maintain test data and test environments to enable reliable test execution
- Oversee test script version management to preserve code integrity across releases
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- No less than 3 years of hands-on professional experience in Quality Assurance, with a background in test automation development or a mix of development and testing experience
- Applied experience in REST and SOAP API testing, ideally using SOAPUI and Groovy scripting
- Practical background with Cucumber for behavior-driven testing
- Strong Java programming skills for developing automation frameworks and scripts
- Working experience with Selenium or similar tools for UI automation
- Hands-on background creating and maintaining automation scripts so that information systems services and programs meet acceptance criteria
- Experience operating within Agile methodology environments
- Strong analytical thinking backed by excellent organizational and troubleshooting abilities
- Solid track record in functional, integration, and regression testing
- Background writing unit tests that address robustness, edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Good working command of manual testing techniques
- Track record integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines
- English at B2 level or higher, with strong written and spoken communication skills
Nice to Have
- Prior background in the Financial Services or Wealth Management industry
- Familiarity with Apache Maven for project build and dependency management
- Applied experience with Gradle for build automation
- Exposure to Mainframe systems and their related testing workflows
