About the Position
We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join our fast-scaling MedTech start-up, which is at the forefront of building the technological backbone for the future of remote medical device operations. Our mission is to revolutionize how medical equipment is managed and supported worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable Golang backend services and create gRPC and REST APIs for connecting medical devices.
- Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka and MQTT and ensure secure authentication via OAuth/OIDC.
- Optimize containerized workloads with Docker and deploy and manage services on AWS and Kubernetes.
- Design and maintain databases (PostgreSQL, RethinkDB, InfluxDB) and implement monitoring to ensure reliability and performance.
- Integrate and support medical devices, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience with strong Golang skills and modern Go features.
- Hands-on experience with APIs, event streaming, messaging systems, Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, and network protocols (TCP/UDP, WebRTC).
- Comfortable with databases, advanced Git workflows, and building secure, maintainable systems.
- Experience in regulated environments (healthcare/MedTech) is a plus.
- Passionate about delivering reliable, high-impact solutions in a purpose-driven, international team.
- Fluent English skills, ideally also German.
