About the Position
Join ING Retail Tech PH as a Senior Backend Engineer where you will be part of a cross-functional team of talented individuals. Together, your team will work with the latest technologies to innovate and develop solutions. You will report to a Team Lead who will guide your professional development and help you reach your full potential.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain reliable applications
- Write automated tests
- Setup CI/CD pipelines
- Adopt a DevOps and Agile mindset
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to define and design features
- Incorporate security best practices into all stages of the development
- Contribute to the team’s growth through mentorship and technical interview participation
- Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends
Requirements
Must Have
- Proficiency in Java 8 or higher, Java 11 or higher is preferred
- Competency in Spring and Spring boot
- Experience in code versioning tools, preferably Git
- Experience in Test Automation (JUnit, Mockito, etc.)
- Working knowledge in RESTful API Development
- Effective Communication
Good to Have
- Experience with database technologies such as SQL, JPA, Hibernate, etc.
- Working knowledge in Microservices Architecture, Containerization, and Orchestration
- Experience with CI/CD platforms, preferably Azure DevOps, and build tools such as Maven
- An Agile mindset
