About the Position
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong analytical and technical skills to support Tax and Accounting solutions.
About AltexSoft
AltexSoft is a company founded in 2007, recognized as Employer of the Year in 2014, 2017, and 2019. We organize the AI Ukraine conference and Know Your Onions meetups. Our R&D centers are located in Ukraine (Kharkiv, Kremenchuk, Lviv) and Georgia (Tbilisi), employing over 300 people.
About Project
The candidate will work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, elicit and document requirements, and use technical tools to analyze and validate results.
You Have
- Basic SQL proficiency: Ability to read, write, and modify SQL queries; perform basic data validation; understand database structures, stored procedures, and functions.
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
- High level of English (written and spoken, ideally B2/C1).
- Experience with data tools and reporting platforms/solutions.
- Experience eliciting requirements directly from business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively between business and technical teams.
- Experience with modeling/visualization tools.
You Are Going To
- Lead requirements elicitation sessions with Tax and Accounting stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements.
- Write and review documentation (including FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria).
- Use SQL and data tools to extract, validate, and analyze data supporting requirements and business decisions.
- Support testing activities (including UAT and data validation).
- Facilitate communication across product, technical, and implementation teams.
- Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies (including business, product design, and timeline risks).
