Senior Business Consultant – Non-Life Insurance (PT)

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Business Consultant with 7+ years of experience in non-life insurance IT projects to lead functional and technical requirement analysis in Porto, working in a hybrid model.

Missions

• Lead the gathering and analysis of functional and technical requirements with stakeholders.
• Lead the definition of the solution architecture at the functional level.
• Map business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare functional documentation and support the development team.
• Validate deliverables and assist in defining functional tests.
• Act as an interface between business areas, IT, and partners.
• Provide post-implementation support and assist in change management.

Required Profile

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Consultant in IT projects.
• Customer orientation: focus on delivering value and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Proven experience in non-life insurance (e.g., auto, multi-risk, personal accidents).
• Critical and analytical thinking: ability to identify problems and propose viable solutions.
• Leadership in solution definition: ability to influence decisions and guide teams toward effective approaches.
• Stress management: ability to stay focused and effective in demanding environments.
• Teamwork: collaborative mindset and ability to work with multidisciplinary profiles.
• Effective communication: ability to express ideas clearly and listen actively to others.
• Participation in digital transformation or system integration projects.
• Autonomy and proactivity: initiative to make decisions and anticipate needs.
• Strong knowledge of process modeling (e.g., BPMN) and documentation tools.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Fluency in Portuguese and good command of English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Enterprise Architect.
• Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar.
