Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients at all levels, including C-suites, decision-makers, and key influencers.
• Analyze and underwrite treaty risks according to risk quality, risk appetite, and Group guidelines.
• Effectively manage cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet client's strategic growth aspirations and drive new reinsurance demands.
• Ensure Swiss Re is the first port of call for assigned clients.
• Perform technical treaty underwriting to establish risk quality, costing, and pricing.
• Manage an assigned portfolio of clients, ensuring optimal resource utilization and meeting premium and profitability targets.
• Develop and execute business plans, including marketing objectives and strategies.
• Identify opportunities to deliver Swiss Re value propositions and secure business to meet plans.
• Lead internally across various functions to ensure teams are aligned and perform optimally for clients.

Requirements

• Minimum 7-10 years of relevant insurance or reinsurance experience.
• Strong treaty underwriting background.
• Market knowledge and existing relationships with insurance companies in Malaysia and other SEA markets.
• Language skills: English (must), proficiency in speaking Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin, and/or Vietnamese will be an advantage.
• Action-oriented with a 'hunger' to achieve great results.
• Outgoing, confident with excellent social skills, written and verbal communication, presentation, marketing, and negotiation skills. Public speaking skills will be an advantage.
• Self-starter, problem solver, creative, entrepreneurial, persistent, determined, ability to learn quickly and think on one's feet.
• Good network and markets knowledge within Asia.
• Motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work in a team and deliver under pressure.
• Willingness to travel as required.
