About the Position
We are seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer with expertise in Azure cloud services to enhance our cloud infrastructure management. With over six years of experience, this candidate has excelled in optimizing cloud infrastructure, implementing automation, and establishing robust monitoring solutions.
Responsibilities
- Cloud Infrastructure Optimization: Demonstrated expertise in Azure, improving the performance and reliability of cloud applications, and efficiently managing cloud infrastructure.
- Automation Champion: Spearheaded automation efforts using Python and Shell scripting, streamlining various project processes, and enhancing efficiency.
- Operational Efficiency: Ensured daily operational checks, monitored events, and promptly responded to incidents, maintaining robust security and performance standards.
- User Management: Managed user accounts, profiles, and network security, enhancing the overall security posture using Azure IAM.
- Monitoring Solutions: Developed comprehensive monitoring solutions and dashboards using Python, Prometheus, and Monit to keep applications running smoothly.
- Agile Development: Actively participated in an Agile environment, liaising with cross-functional teams and the client’s Product Owner, ensuring timely development and reporting.
- Infrastructure Migration: Led a critical project involving migrating applications to Azure cloud, creating Docker containers, configuring firewalls, and ensuring smooth cloud deployment.
Requirements
- Azure: Proficiency in Azure cloud services.
- Python: Scripting with Python for automation.
- Shell scripting: Automation and scripting with Shell.
- Docker: Experience with Docker containerization.
- Prometheus: Monitoring with Prometheus.
- Monit: Monitoring with Monit.
Nice to Have
- Experience with RPM and YUM package management.
- Server administration via SSH.
- User and group management.
- Automation with CRON jobs.
