Senior Consultant Global Retailers Consumer Panel Services (CPS) (m/w/d)

As a Senior Consultant Global Retailers Consumer Panel Services (CPS) (m/w/d) you will be part of the Regional Retail Customer Success HQ Team at NIQ, taking on a self-responsible role. You will work closely with the corporate headquarters of a strategically important international retail company and act as a trusted advisor. You will translate complex business issues into clear, data-driven recommendations for action.

In this position, you will combine strong analytical skills with excellent stakeholder management to support strategic decisions and achieve measurable business success across various markets. The role is ideal for experienced consulting and insight experts who enjoy translating data into concrete actions, advising at senior management level, and building long-term customer partnerships.

We are looking for an experienced professional from the fields of insights or consulting who combines solid expertise in Consumer Panel Services with a strong commercial understanding, enjoys advising at management level, and supports retail companies in translating consumer and shopper behavior into strategic business decisions.

The position is based in Nuremberg or Frankfurt and is part of a closely connected European team that works across countries.

You will work in a hybrid working model, combining mobile work with at least one day per week in one of our NIQ offices. In addition, regular visits to our customers on-site are part of your daily work to strengthen cooperation and achieve common business goals.

Responsibilities

  • You will be the strategic main contact for the corporate headquarters of a global retail company and build trusting relationships with senior and executive stakeholders.
  • You will promote the use of our Consumer Panel Services (CPS) and demonstrate how our solutions help to address key business challenges.
  • You will translate the business priorities of our customers into structured analytical approaches and concrete recommendations for action with measurable added value.
  • You will use your deep understanding of shopper, customer, and consumer behavior to identify growth potentials and support strategic decisions.
  • You will work closely with the teams from Analytics, Product, RMS, CPS, and the local Customer Success teams to develop holistic solutions for our customers.
  • You will ensure that strategic initiatives and results are consistently implemented across different European markets.
  • You will identify and support opportunities to further expand cooperation with our customers and unlock additional business potentials.
  • You will present analyses, lead workshops, and conduct business reviews for different target groups up to the top management.
  • You will represent the interests of your customers within NIQ and promote innovation, the exchange of best practices, and cross-functional cooperation.

Requirements

  • Several years of professional experience in consulting, customer success, account management, insights, analytics, or a comparable customer-oriented function within the FMCG, retail, or market research industry.
  • Solid knowledge in the field of Consumer Panel Services (CPS), shopper insights, customer analytics, consumer behavior analysis, or loyalty and customer data solutions.
  • Deep understanding of the FMCG and retail industry as well as the business models of retailers and manufacturers.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining long-term relationships with senior decision-makers and executives.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills and the ability to translate complex data into understandable business recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to convey complex content convincingly and appropriately for the audience.
  • Experience in working independently and confidently in international matrix organizations.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and the ability to recognize additional potentials for the further development of existing customer relationships.
  • Experience in using digital and AI-supported tools to increase productivity, generate insights, and improve customer interaction.
  • Very good knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel; experience with Power BI or comparable visualization tools is advantageous.
  • Fluent English skills in speech and writing.
  • Completed university degree or comparable qualification.

The annual gross salary for this position ranges between 64,100 EUR and 88,000 EUR. The specific salary classification is based on relevant professional experience, qualifications, competencies, and internal compensation structures. We promote salary transparency and equal opportunities and make compensation decisions exclusively based on objective and gender-neutral criteria. In addition, an attractive variable compensation with relevant bonus potential, for example in the form of a performance or sales-related bonus, can be granted for this position.
