About the Position

Senior Credit Risk Manager (f/m/d)

Join Axpo Polska as a Senior Credit Risk Manager and take ownership of counterparty credit risk for an assigned portfolio. Bring your expertise, mentor others, and help shape a strong credit risk culture.

Responsibilities

• Execution of the credit policy, including entering, verifying, and accepting credit-risk-related agreements in the system.
• Conducting comprehensive counterparty credit assessments, including the determination of appropriate credit ratings and credit limits.
• Independent oversight and management of an assigned portfolios of counterparties with respect to credit risk, in accordance with the applicable credit risk policy.
• Conducting annual credit reviews, including analysis of counterparties’ financial situations and updating their ratings and credit limits.
• Participation in additional company-wide projects related to the credit risk area, including cooperation with relevant stakeholders and implementation of process improvements.
• Supporting the onboarding of new employees within the Credit Risk team, including knowledge transfer, familiarization with internal procedures, and guidance on day-to-day responsibilities.
• Providing support to and cooperating with the Margining team within the assigned portfolio to ensure the accurate day-to-day management of collateral exchanges with counterparties, where applicable.

Requirements

• A degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum: 10-12 years in Credit Risk in banking or commodity trading (preferred).
• Required expertise:
  • Financial risk management
  • Credit risk management
  • Modelling credit risk
• Strong analytical skills, an open and curious mind, and a solution-focused approach.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset.
• Full professional proficiency in English is required. C1-C2.
