About the Position
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Architect / Data Architect with 20+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale data transformations. The role is responsible for architecting complex data ecosystems, modern data platforms, governance frameworks, and enterprise-wide data strategies. The candidate should bring practical Gen AI architectural experience to enable intelligent data platforms, enhance search and retrieval systems, and embed AI-driven capabilities into enterprise data landscapes without shifting focus away from strong data foundations.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive enterprise-wide data architecture strategy aligned with business objectives
- Architect complex data landscapes across multi-source, hybrid, and cloud ecosystems
- Design scalable, resilient, and secure enterprise data platforms
- Lead data modernization, transformation, and platform consolidation initiatives
- Establish enterprise data modeling standards (conceptual, logical, physical) along with metadata management, lineage, and enterprise data standards
- Architect end-to-end data solutions including ingestion, transformation, storage, indexing, and consumption
- Lead ETL/ELT design using Informatica, Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud-native services
- Design lakehouse and modern data warehouse architectures alongside Big Data implementations using Spark, PySpark, and Python
- Architect high-performance data retrieval, indexing, and search frameworks plus complex data migration programs from legacy to cloud
- Establish enterprise Data Governance frameworks, MDM strategies, and metadata governance with data quality, profiling, validation, and monitoring mechanisms
- Ensure security, privacy, and regulatory compliance across data platforms
- Architect Gen AI use cases leveraging enterprise data assets, including RAG-based frameworks, vector indexing, and semantic search integrated with structured and unstructured data
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to enable responsible and scalable AI adoption
- Lead presales solutioning, architecture discussions, and executive business meetings as Chief Architect
Requirements
- 20+ years of IT experience with a strong focus on Enterprise Data Architecture
- Proven leadership in large-scale data transformation programs
- Expertise in Data Architecture, Big Data, and ETL Design
- Competency in Data Governance and Data Quality
- Strong experience in Snowflake, Databricks, and Informatica
- Proficiency in AWS and Azure
- Hands-on capability in Python, PySpark, and distributed data processing
- Knowledge of Gen AI architecture (RAG, semantic search, vector indexing)
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
