About the Position
We are looking for a self-motivated Senior Data Engineer to work independently within a full-stack, high-performing squad representing the Data Engineering chapter. The ideal candidate brings a collaborative "can-do" mindset focused on the collective success of the Scrum team to iteratively deliver high-quality products supporting the investments business.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, Subject Matter Experts, and Development team to define and analyze user stories tracked in Jira
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of software solutions using a modern technology stack
- Demonstrate solutions and articulate business value to business partners at sprint showcases
- Support Data Integration through active configuration participation
- Apply knowledge of investment financial data to serve application integration to trading platforms and reporting
- Work within Agile Scrum teams following a scaled framework
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Expertise in SQL including views, stored procedures, and functions
- Proficiency in Snowflake and understanding of DWH concepts
- Skills in AWS and Python for ETL processes including Pandas and NumPy
- Familiarity with AI Dev Tools such as GitHub Copilot and GitHub Actions
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices using BitBucket, GitHub, and Bamboo
- Background in business intelligence tools and reporting solutions
- Familiarity with API development and reporting tools like Power BI
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
Nice to Have
- Background in financial systems and reporting including investments accounting and general ledger
- Expertise in integrating large-scale financial investment or ERP systems such as Investment Management Warehouse or similar platforms
- Showcase of delivering data solutions via agile methodologies using cloud resources such as S3, Glue, and Athena
- Familiarity with SnapLogic and REST APIs for orchestration
- Understanding of Agile software development practices including story sizing, sprint planning, and retrospectives
