Senior Data Engineer - Data Warehouse & Lakehouse (w/m/d)

Wiesbaden, Paderborn, Nürnberg, Köln oder Augsburg.

Du baust Datenstrecken, die laufen, und willst mehr Verantwortung, ohne die Hände von der Tastatur zu nehmen? Als Senior Data Engineer verantwortest du die technische Umsetzung von Teilprojekten, arbeitest auf Plattformen von Open Source bis Cloud und redest bei Architekturentscheidungen mit. Dein Fokus liegt auf den Datenlösungen, nicht auf dem Plattformbetrieb.

What You'll Do

• Develop data solutions on modern platforms, from Data Warehouse to Lakehouse
• Build data pipelines, from the connection of source systems to the finished data model, and provide data for BI-Reporting and AI-Use-Cases
• Automate testing and deployment of data pipelines, on platforms like Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Cloudera, or Stackable
• Responsible for the technical implementation in sub-projects and coordinate closely with architecture, customers, and subject areas
• Ensure quality: Code Reviews, Tests, Monitoring of data pipelines, Documentation
• Additionally: Participate in architectural decisions, evaluate tools, coach colleagues, and share knowledge as a speaker in seminars

Requirements

• Informatikstudium oder vergleichbare Ausbildung, mindestens 4 Jahre Berufserfahrung im Data Engineering
• Aktuelle, umfangreiche Hands-on-Erfahrung im Aufbau von Data- Warehouse- und Lakehouse-Lösungen
• Sehr gute SQL- und Python-Kenntnisse, Erfahrung mit Apache Spark
• Erfahrung mit Datenintegrations-Tools (z. B. dbt, Azure Data Factory, Informatica) und Lakehouse-Plattformen (z. B. Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Cloudera, Stackable)
• Fundierte Datenmodellierung (dimensional oder Data Vault), Git, CI/CD, und Container (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Technologische Breite statt Festlegung auf ein Produkt, und die Fähigkeit, Technik auch Fachbereichen verständlich zu erklären
• Deutsch C1 und gutes Englisch
