Senior Data Engineer

We currently have an opening for a Senior Data Engineer who wants to join GFT. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person willing to start and grow in a multicultural, motivating, and challenging environment.

Responsibilities

Although they will depend on your knowledge and experience, in general, the main functions you would carry out with us would be:

• Understand the client's needs and work closely with the corresponding teams to ensure that the cloud solution developed is aligned with the needs and the Value Proposition of GFT.
• Develop and organize cloud systems.
• Create a strategy for the cloud and manage the adoption process.
• Recognize, identify, and document potential areas where existing business processes require changes, or where new processes need to be developed, and make recommendations.
• Ensure GFT's ability to implement and deliver the designed solution by working closely with the designated delivery units.
• Identify, evaluate, and minimize the risk associated with the company's cloud privacy.

Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience in implementing data storage and processing services.
• Expert in the Python, SQL, and dbt stack for developing ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience in Data environments (Pyspark, Spark, etc.).
• Experience in managing complex and reusable pipelines.
• Previous experience in cloud environments with AWS and Redshift.
• Automate data processing tasks using scripting languages such as Python.
• Essential handling of tools such as DBeaver, Jira, and technical documentation in Confluence.
• High level of English (B2).
