About the Position
We are searching for a Senior Data Integration Engineer with advanced skills and strong motivation to deliver technology solutions that enhance investment operations, including trade processing, accounting, reconciliation, reporting, and automated batch scheduling.
This position emphasizes close teamwork across departments and focuses on connecting financial data with platforms such as Simcorp Dimension to maximize operational performance and business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Work with Product Owner, Scrum Master, subject matter experts, and developers to clarify and refine user stories in Jira
- Define software architecture and select technology components for data integration projects
- Configure data sources and targets to ensure reliable and accurate data movement between systems
- Showcase completed solutions during sprint reviews and explain their business impact
- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using BitBucket, GitHub, and Bamboo for automated deployments
- Write and optimize SQL code, including views, stored procedures, and functions, to support database operations
- Apply Python with Pandas and NumPy for ETL processes and conduct unit tests to verify code reliability
- Develop business intelligence dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau to support decision-making
- Apply Data Warehousing concepts such as Dimensional Modeling (Kimball) and data extraction utilities
- Integrate financial data into investment management systems like Simcorp Dimension for precise reporting and operations
- Contribute to Agile scrum activities to deliver software increments that address business requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years as a Data Engineer
- Expertise in SQL for database development
- Proficiency in AWS and Python for ETL and data pipeline creation
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau for business intelligence
- BitBucket, GitHub, and Bamboo for CI/CD
- Familiarity with Data Warehousing and Dimensional Modeling (Kimball)
- Background in financial or investment data integration
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and team practices
Nice to Have
- Background in financial systems, such as investment accounting or general ledger platforms
- Expertise in integrating large-scale investment or ERP systems, including SimCorp Dimension or similar solutions
- Knowledge of AWS services like S3, Glue, Athena, and Lambda, as well as Snowflake, Snaplogic, and orchestration tools
- Experience with Agile data project delivery, including story estimation and collaboration in scaled Agile environments
