  • Develop modern ELT/ETL and streaming pipelines for batch and near-real-time processing.
  • Implement Lakehouse architectures using open storage and table formats.
  • Model data structures according to Data Vault 2.0 or Kimball – depending on the technical and architectural context.
  • Build consumable data products for analytics, reporting, and AI use cases.
  • Prepare data for machine learning use cases (including feature engineering logic) without training ML models.
  • Ensure data quality, performance, and cost optimization in the cloud.
  • Implement orchestration, automation, and CI/CD processes for stable, production-ready platforms.
  • Work closely with data architects, governance teams, and data scientists.
  • Take technical responsibility within specific implementation projects.

Requirements

  • At least 3–5 years of experience in building modern data platforms.
  • Solid knowledge of at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Excellent SQL skills and experience with Python (or similar).
  • Experience with streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub, Kinesis, or similar).
  • Practical experience in data modeling according to Data Vault 2.0 and/or Kimball.
  • Understanding of modern Lakehouse architectures and open storage formats.
  • Experience in orchestrating and automating data pipelines.
  • Expertise in performance and cost optimization in cloud environments.
  • Experience in collaborating with analytics and data science teams.
  • Fluent in German and English.
