About the Position
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist (Client-Facing FMCG) to join our global, diverse team. Be part of the exciting journey to transform our Consumer Measurement products.
Responsibilities
- Join our Consumer Market Leader specialized global team in the APAC region, in a flexible working environment.
- Help to educate our commercial associates and our clients in how to use our innovative Consumer products, from take home panels to receipt capture and beyond.
- Be a panel expert: understand end-to-end how we construct the best panels in the industry.
- Present and communicate findings and recommendations based on research and analysis.
- Evaluate current methodologies and identify opportunities for enhancement (input data cleaning, data preparation methodologies, data quality tracking, consumer projection).
- Support documentation of findings, methodologies, and best practices.
- Develop the prototypes of new solutions/methodologies to new market challenges.
- Support production deployment of proposed enhancements/new solutions.
- Identification of quality risks and follow up on solutions.
- Engagement with stakeholders on scope, execution, data exchange, and outcomes for assigned projects.
- Expert-level analysis of results and presentations with insights.
- Screen the market for potential new Data Science approaches.
- Foster knowledge exchange within the company.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Socio-economics, Data Science, or other related fields with at least 2 or more years’ experience.
- Knowledge of/Interest in consumers and their behavior and (un-)managed consumer-related crowdsourced panels.
- Experience working with Commercial functions and/or clients.
- Strong aptitude for data analysis. Ability to manipulate, analyze, and interpret large data sources.
- Eager to continuously learn and adopt and develop evolving technologies and tools.
- Excellent communication/writing and collaboration skills.
- Excellent statistical and logic skills. Experience in data cleaning, outlier validation, sampling, bias reduction, indirect estimation, data aggregation techniques.
- Experienced in Python or another high-level programming language and willingness to learn Python.
Nice to Have
- Experienced with SQL, working with queries and large-scale databases.
- Experience/Interest in production-level solutions prototyping.
