Senior Data Technology Consultant (Data & AI)

About the Position

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Data Technology Consultant (Data & AI) to become part of our expanding Data & AI practice at EPAM Systems. This position connects technology with business outcomes, enabling clients to leverage data for transformative results. You will be instrumental in designing innovative data solutions, contributing to sales initiatives, and providing outstanding value to clients through both strategic guidance and technical know-how.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with sales, delivery, and expert teams to match client requirements with data-driven solutions, bridging business challenges and our service offerings
• Take full ownership of the presales lifecycle, covering opportunity qualification, solution design, proposal creation, demonstrations, and client presentations
• Facilitate workshops and client meetings to capture business goals and technical needs, ensuring our solutions align with client objectives
• Design customized data solutions-including cloud-native platforms, data integration, advanced analytics, and AI/ML models-to deliver meaningful business insights
• Build compelling proposals, pricing structures, and value propositions to win opportunities and secure new engagements
• Keep current with emerging developments in Data & Analytics, Cloud, and AI, offering strategic guidance to clients and fostering innovation within the practice
• Help create reusable solution frameworks, accelerators, and methodologies that boost operational efficiency
• Serve as a mentor and knowledge contributor within the team, promoting skill development and the sharing of best practices

Requirements

• Substantial background in presales, solution architecture, or consulting, with an emphasis on Data/AI technologies and associated business use cases
• Solid technical expertise in legacy Data Warehouse platforms (Oracle, DB2, Informatica, SSIS, etc)
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud data technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Working knowledge of modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake)
• Familiarity with data science methods and skill in evaluating client needs to map them to technical solutions
• Outstanding communication and storytelling abilities-capable of turning complex technical ideas into clear, client-friendly narratives
• Demonstrated success engaging senior stakeholders and delivering impactful pitches or presentations
• Hands-on experience producing detailed proposals, RFP responses, and pricing/engagement models for data-focused services or projects
• Knowledge of strategic consulting practices and the ability to craft future-state recommendations and roadmaps that drive client success
• Strong organizational, leadership, and project-scoping skills, with proven capability to handle complex tasks in a fast-moving setting
• A bachelor's or master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related discipline (or comparable professional background)
• Excellent English communication abilities, with the capability to explain technical topics clearly to varied audiences
