About the Position
We are looking for a Senior DBA Engineer who will be able to plan and execute a phased migration of a large MySQL database available in multiple zones.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute a phased migration of a large MySQL database available in multiple zones
- Design and maintain MySQL databases across multiple zones
- Preparation of cutover procedures for database migration
- Disaster recovery planning and execution
- Performance tuning and query optimization of MySQL databases
- Configuration of replication, backups, and high availability
- Management of MySQL deployments on Amazon RDS and Amazon Aurora
- Monitoring and troubleshooting of database health and capacity
Requirements
- Proficiency in MySQL with proven experience in planning and executing databases
- Expertise in Amazon Web Services including Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, and Amazon EC2
- Skills in MySQL replication, backup and recovery, and high availability
- Competency in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing
- Background in preparing cutover and disaster recovery
- Familiarity with AWS networking, IAM, and CloudWatch
- English level B2+
