Job description
About the Position
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS) to join one of the Customer's teams responsible for Developer Experience. This team owns the infrastructure and tooling that the Customer's engineering organization uses every day, including a GitHub Enterprise Cloud monorepo, a BuildKite-based CI/CD platform, remote development environments (Coder on AWS) and the day-to-day engineering experience. You will ensure developers have fast, reliable, and frictionless workflows from the moment they clone the repo to when their code ships to production. The role requires availability in a US-compatible time zone for collaboration with the team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and extend AWS infrastructure using Terraform/Terragrunt
- Manage and improve remote development environments (Coder)
- Write CLI tools and automation scripts in Python and Bash
- Work with Docker/Kubernetes and container image management
- Enhance developer feedback loops across GitHub Enterprise monorepo
- Optimize build performance and CI/CD pipeline efficiency
- Improve pre-commit testing and PR status check workflows
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with Terraform in automation with Python and Bash
- Production experience with AWS
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Background in CI/CD tools (Buildkite, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar)
- Understanding of build systems, dependency management, and build performance optimizations
- Good communication skills, proactivity, and empathy, with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Desire to learn and understand how things work (not just follow instructions) and to thrive in a transparent and fast-moving startup environment
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
Nice to Have
- Expertise in Buildkite and containerized or remote development environments (Coder Workspaces)
- Skills in Terragrunt, AWS Control Tower, and IAM Identity Center
- Deep expertise in CI/CD, build caching strategies (remote caching, incremental builds), and secure CI/CD practices
- Experience working with monorepo architectures and the challenges they present at scale
- Background in staff augmentation setups or client-facing positions
We Offer
- Remote work options in Argentina and other locations
- Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and tools
- Collaborative and innovative work environment
