About the Position
Join EPAM as a Senior DevOps Engineer - Kubernetes & Azure Cloud to architect and scale resilient cloud infrastructure that powers mission-critical applications. You'll design robust CI/CD pipelines, optimize Kubernetes environments, and drive automation strategies that directly impact deployment speed, system reliability, and engineering efficiency across the organization.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, focusing on speed, reliability, and scalability
- Manage and optimize production-grade Kubernetes clusters, including Helm chart development and Istio service mesh configuration
- Develop Python-based automation scripts and tooling to streamline infrastructure provisioning and deployment workflows
- Architect and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, including AKS, networking, IAM/RBAC, and storage solutions
- Troubleshoot complex pod orchestration, networking, and pipeline issues to minimize downtime and ensure system stability
- Implement monitoring and observability practices to proactively identify performance bottlenecks and infrastructure risks
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and building infrastructure tooling
- Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes, including cluster management, Helm charts, and service mesh technologies like Istio
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with a strong focus on reliability
- Deep expertise in GitLab CI/CD, including multi-stage pipelines, templates, and pipeline-as-code practices
- Solid experience of Azure cloud services such as AKS, Azure DevOps, Virtual Networks, and Key Vault
Nice to Have
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
- Experience with shell scripting
