About the Position
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with GCP expertise to join our financial services team in the Republic of Lithuania. In this role, you will lead a team of system engineers and DevOps professionals while guiding application migration strategies to Google Cloud. You will serve as a key technical advisor, helping architects and engineers re-architect applications for cloud and containerization.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of system engineers and DevOps professionals
- Oversee and advise on the migration path for given applications
- Act as main point of contact for other architects and engineers
- Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate workflows
- Manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
- Work hands-on with Google Kubernetes Engine
- Provision infrastructure using Terraform
- Implement and maintain Anthos Service Mesh and Istio
- Configure networking and firewall rules
- Create and manage Helm charts
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles
- Background in software development and/or architecture
- Experience in re-architecting applications for cloud and containerization
- Expertise in Google Cloud Platform, Google Kubernetes Engine, and Terraform
- Proficiency in Continuous Integration, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure management
- Knowledge of financial services environments
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good business acumen
- English level B2+
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Azure Networking, Ethernet, and Network Administration
- Skills in Grafana, Prometheus, and Infrastructure as Code development and maintenance
- Proficiency in Python and UNIX shell scripting
- Knowledge of GPGPU/GPU and RDMA
- German language proficiency
