Senior Electrical Water/Wastewater

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Water/Wastewater Engineer to join Black & Veatch Family of Companies in Dallas, TX. Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical Design for water/wastewater projects
• Provide technical guidance on client standards and expectations to engineering and technician staff
• Serve as a technical expert in electrical power distribution and miscellaneous plant electrical systems for client consultations
• Support business development related to enhanced Electrical services
• Build business relationships with clients to understand their needs and drivers

Additional Project Opportunities

• Studies – Energy Optimization, Power System Coordination, Arc Flash Hazard Analysis, and Electrical Reliability Analysis
• Construction inspection and resolution of electrical construction issues
• Coordination with local electrical utilities on project technical needs
• Review of supplier submittals
• Act as a liaison between the local design team, client, and remote design teams for Instrumentation and Control design
• Startup and testing of major electrical equipment

Requirements

• Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer’s license in TX or another US jurisdiction
  • 11 years in electrical design, planning, and construction services
  • Consulting and Water/Wastewater experience preferred
  • Experience in medium and low voltage power distribution equipment, including variable frequency drives and standby diesel generators
  • Experience in a client-facing/business development role
  • Power system analysis experience in SKM, ETAP, or other analysis software a plus

• Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program or equivalent experience in Engineering work
  • Minimum of 11 years related work experience
  • Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries
