Senior Embedded Software Engineer, Pixel Phone Security

Google is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for Pixel Phone Security in London, UK. This role requires in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Work on next-generation Pixel security designs and projects.
• Harden embedded system software components critical to Pixel security.
• Develop embedded security software features for current and future Pixel devices.
• Improve infrastructures for testing and Continuous Integration (CI).
• Develop technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
• Experience in embedded software/firmware design, device driver development, and Real-Time Operating System (RTOS)/embedded OS environment.
• Experience in low-level systems programming languages (e.g., C++ or C).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience working on embedded security design and development.
• Experience in application security, cryptography, systems security, or malware analysis.
• Experience with open source development.
