Senior Engineering Manager - Jira Platform

About the Position

We're seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Jira Platform to lead teams, drive technical excellence, and shape the future of enterprise teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of 2-3 scrum teams with a total span of 12-20 members.
• Shape the platform capabilities, technical strategy, and engineering practices.
• Drive impactful business outcomes and participate in driving the technical architecture.
• Mentor and coach engineers and work closely with multiple principal engineers.
• Ensure world-class engineering and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Experience in leading large development teams directly.
• Experience in developing platforms and products in a SaaS world.
• Strong technical experience and a passion for getting involved in the details.
• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
• Ability to drive technical excellence, pushing innovation, quality, and operational excellence.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Driving clarity from single-line requirements and providing direction in an ambiguous environment.
• A track record of strong execution and delivering results.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in defining strategic roadmaps for products and platforms.
• Experience with distributed development teams.
• Continuous delivery with a strong bias for action.
