Senior Finance Analyst

About the Role

As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing the accounting and finance activities for entities under Cognizant’s interest in Eastern Europe. You will collaborate closely with local teams and various stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

Support local Finance Managers in various capacities.
Handle activities related to monthly, quarterly closing, and management reporting, including preparing journals, BS reconciliations, reviewing accrual calculations, and analyzing bookings.
Provide comments for P&L and BS variance analysis.
Support local compliance by preparing and submitting local statistical reports, assisting in the preparation of financial statements and CIT returns, and supporting audits.
Perform operational duties such as investigating booking mismatches, initiating manual payments, and collaborating with internal and external teams and service providers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or CPA qualification.
At least 2 years of work experience in an accounting / financial environment.
Fluent in English (written and verbal).
Experienced Excel user (pivot tables, v-lookup, etc).
Good team player with the ability to work independently.
Open to learning new things, with a can-do attitude.
Committed to providing quality work and meeting deadlines.
Control mindset with attention to detail.

Nice to Have

Experience working in a multinational / SSC environment.
Knowledge of IFRS / US-GAAP accounting practices and principles.
Taxation expertise (VAT, CIT).
Experience with Oracle (People Soft) / Hyperion.
Professional working knowledge in Polish or Czech language.
