About the Position
Senior Java Developer, Noida
ION Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team in Noida. This role involves building complex, enterprise-level applications and participating in shaping the future of financial technology stacks.
Responsibilities
- Build distributed systems that deal with actor-based concurrency, reactive programming, distributed in-memory data grids, and advanced messaging beyond plain JMS.
- Work on server-side JVM-based projects.
- Utilize the typical Java or Scala JVM ecosystem stack (Spring and its subprojects, Guice, Guava, Maven, Hibernate, Jetty, etc.).
- Continuously retool as the technology landscape evolves.
- Pick up other technologies along the development stack, including front-end and non-JVM ecosystems.
- Collaborate with clients in iterative, project-based engagements.
- Demonstrate a passion for delivering quality code.
- Show experience in writing commercial-grade software applications.
- Have a deep understanding of multithreading and real-time software architectures.
- Solve real-world business problems with technology as an enabler.
- Overcome obstacles and challenges with a positive attitude.
Requirements
- 8+ years of recent hands-on experience in designing and coding complex, enterprise, commercial-grade applications in core, server-side Java, ideally Java 8+.
- Experience building RESTful Web Services.
- Proficiency in Test-driven development, including Unit and End-to-End Testing.
- Experience with Agile software development (e.g., SCRUM or KANBAN).
- Experience in a CI/CD environment.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, or related work experience.
- Experience with, knowledge of, and strong demonstrated interest in, global financial markets and financial products.
