About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with over 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. You will be optimizing algorithms and developing AI algorithms in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Write reliable code in Java SE;
Optimize existing algorithms for performance and memory consumption;
Prototype ideas and conduct experiments to identify weaknesses and strengths in existing algorithms;
Perform statistical analysis and data processing;
Collect and prepare data for training predictive models;
Develop artificial intelligence algorithms;
Read scientific articles and apply the ideas proposed there in AI development.

Requirements

5+ years of Java SE experience. Frameworks are not necessary. Knowledge of data structures, multithreading, and algorithms is required;
Ability to program: quickly understand existing code, use a debugger, read logs, find problems, make fixes, integrate new code into an existing codebase, write new code, prototype ideas;
Higher technical education (physics, computer science) from a specialized university;
Strong algorithmic background: experience in creating algorithms, optimizing them for performance and memory consumption, and applying multithreading;
English language skills for reading technical documentation.

Nice to Have

Mathematical background;
Ability to apply mathematical tools to solve problems, read and understand theorems or formulas, and apply them in code to solve problems. Probability theory and mathematical statistics are particularly interesting;
Experience programming in C++;
Experience in machine learning;
Experience working with text information: RegExp, bash, grep, efficient file search.
