About the Position

Senior Java Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Java Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our team in Ukraine, focusing on designing, implementing, and optimizing high-quality software.

Responsibilities

• Technical tasks designing, implementation, automation, refactoring
• Code review, code optimization
• Collaborating with other engineers to deliver high-quality software on time
• Proceeding with team planning, estimations, commitments, backlog replenishment
• Communicating with the customer for requirements analysis, sprint routines, estimations, and retrospectives
• Participating in post-release support and monitoring activities
• Creating and presenting a technical vision

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Java
• Deep practical experience with Spring Boot
• Deep understanding of microservices architectural principles
• Knowledge of different communication protocols (REST, gRPC, events, messaging)
• Hands-on experience with Docker containerization for different environments
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and types of quality gates
• Hands-on experience with unit/integration/API testing for microservices
• Taking full responsibility for the results of own work
• Upper-intermediate level of English (B2), well-developed communication skills
• Well-developed presentation skills

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with Kafka
