About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Java Engineer with strong Java and Spring skills to build and maintain high-performance backend services for a global financial client.

Responsibilities

Design and develop backend services in Java
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices used at scale
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers to deliver new features
Contribute to system design with focus on performance, reliability, and security
Work in Agile delivery with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps ways of working
Review code and write automated tests to ensure quality and maintainability
Support applications in production and troubleshoot issues when needed
Continuously improve code quality, tooling, and engineering practices

Requirements

Commercial experience with Java 8+ or 11+ or 17+
Strong knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot
Hands-on experience with REST APIs
Hands-on experience with microservices architecture
Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Git
Experience with Maven or Gradle
Experience working in Agile or DevOps teams
Very good English communication skills

Nice to Have

Experience with AWS or GCP or Azure
Experience with Docker
Experience with Kubernetes
Experience with Kafka or MQ or other event-driven messaging systems
Experience in banking, finance, or other regulated environments
