Senior Lawyer Commercial

About the Position

We are seeking a driven and highly autonomous Senior Lawyer Commercial to join our Commercial team in Barcelona, Spain. In this role, you will bridge our Global Headquarters (HQ) and the Spanish (ES) market, providing critical legal support that enables our business to scale efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Bridge our Global Headquarters (HQ) and the Spanish (ES) market
• Provide critical legal support that enables our business to scale efficiently
• Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume and wide variety of commercial agreements
• Draft and update Terms & Conditions for B2B and B2C models
• Navigate overlapping regulatory, IP, and platform issues
• Handle cross-border agreements between Spain and HQ
• Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives that directly impact broader company goals and multiple business units

Requirements

• Solid background: Degree in Law. A Master’s degree (e.g., Máster de Acceso a la Abogacía, LLM, or a specialized corporate/commercial master's) and admission to the Spanish Bar are highly valued
• Relevant experience: 4 to 6 years of post-qualification experience, ideally gained through a mix of a top-tier law firm and an in-house legal department within a fast-paced, high-growth, or tech environment
• Language fluency: Bilingual or highly proficient professional level in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) is mandatory
• Technical capabilities:
  • Proven track record of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements
  • Experience drafting and updating Terms & Conditions for B2B and B2C models
  • Strong foundation in commercial and corporate law
  • Broad legal knowledge with the versatility to navigate overlapping regulatory, IP, and platform issues
• Autonomy: Operates with high independence and autonomy. Proposes improvements and leads the implementation of new processes and legal frameworks
• Problem-solving: Solves complex, ambiguous problems where guidelines may be unclear or non-existent, balancing legal risk with commercial business objectives
• Impact: Leads cross-functional projects and initiatives that directly impact broader company goals and multiple business units

• Knowledge of any other language
