About the Position
We are seeking a Senior Office 365 Engineer to lead the overall execution and technical implementation of Office 365 across the organization. This role involves the management of all Office 365 services, including Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Exchange Online, along with full tenant administration. The ideal candidate brings deep subject matter expertise across Office 365 features and services, with extensive experience in email administration and hands-on design and implementation of major Microsoft 365 dependencies.
Responsibilities
- Engineer and implement Microsoft Office 365 capabilities as the company expands
- Provide tier 3 support and management of the end-to-end Microsoft Office 365 environment
- Ensure all production changes comply with lifecycle methodology and risk/change management guidelines
- Mentor team members and participate in architecture reviews and strategic development activities
- Design, implement, and support secure Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions aligned with business and compliance requirements
- Act as an escalation point for complex messaging, identity, and collaboration issues
- Partner with application, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver integrated cloud solutions
- Contribute to documentation, operational standards, and continuous service improvement initiatives
Requirements
- 5+ years of equivalent work experience in Office 365 engineering and administration
- Hands-on skills in Exchange Online, Outlook, Office 365, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online
- Expertise in Microsoft Power Platform, Azure, scripting, Active Directory, and archiving services
- Strong experience managing cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, and GCP including resource groups, load balancers, and storage
- Background in backup & recovery and networking along with configuring Azure resources such as Virtual WAN, Application Gateway, and Route Tables
- Proficiency in PowerShell and C# to build automation and runbooks such as System Center Orchestrator
- Experience with Azure DevOps including CI/CD pipelines, service connections, and self-hosted agents
- Experience deploying Azure resources using Infrastructure as Code such as ARM templates, Bicep, and Terraform
- Experience configuring private endpoints and private DNS zones at scale along with version control systems such as Git and GitHub
- Experience with Office 365 user, license, and group management along with security components such as Azure Information Protection (AIP), Data Leakage Prevention (DLP), and Conditional Access
- Exposure to infrastructure areas including VMware, storage, and SQL Server with strong troubleshooting skills across enterprise-scale multi-tenant environments
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, with certifications in Office 365, Azure, and DevOps
