Senior Performance Test Engineer

About the Position

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Performance Test Engineer to optimize the stability, scalability, and efficiency of data processing pipelines and infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in performance testing, expertise in cloud technologies, and a passion for driving system reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive performance testing strategies, including load, stress, and endurance tests tailored to GCP-hosted data pipelines
• Configure and maintain monitoring and logging systems using tools like GCP Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, or Grafana
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate system performance and identify bottlenecks
• Generate clear and actionable performance test reports for engineering teams and stakeholders
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps teams, and QAs to investigate and resolve production performance issues
• Identify performance degradation and recommend architectural improvements to optimize workflows
• Troubleshoot critical performance issues and propose solutions to address them

Requirements

• 3+ years of proven experience in performance testing roles with a focus on GCP-based systems
• Knowledge of core GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub
• Expertise in setting up and operating GCP Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, or Grafana for metric tracking and analysis
• Strong coding skills for performance test development and debugging technical issues
• Deep understanding of performance testing methodologies and tools used in cloud environments
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
