About the Position

Senior Product Engineer

Gigs is building the operating system for mobile services-a platform that lets tech companies embed global connectivity into their products effortlessly. Join us as a Senior Product Engineer to shape the future of telecom.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end. Plan, build, roll out, and iterate features. Deploy to production multiple times a day, in small, frequent releases.
• Run what you build. Maintain the CI/CD pipeline, invest in monitoring and observability, and scale the infrastructure. Carry the pager for what you have built.
• Work across the full stack. Write frontend and backend code in Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. Keep up with these technologies and push for upgrades.
• Shape user experiences with Design and Product. Work with both teams daily, bring ideas that go beyond what we've already planned, and challenge what is already there.
• Build systems that match our ambition. Design systems to stay maintainable as they grow.

Requirements

• You've shipped production web apps with React and TypeScript. Implement common and advanced React patterns, have deep knowledge of the component lifecycle, and know what belongs on the client and what belongs on the server.
• You've built and maintained software at scale. Know what breaks in a system when the load grows 10x, and design with that in mind.
• You have a pragmatic view on automated testing. Know what to test, what to leave alone, how to test it, and why.
• You roll up your sleeves. If shipping your feature means working in an unfamiliar area, you dive in rather than wait for someone else to do it.

Salary

• EU: €90,000 - 125,000 (base salary) + equity
• UK: £90,000 - 125,000 (base salary) + equity

(The final offer depends on your background, skills, and how you perform through the process. We're open to considering mid, senior and staff-level candidates, which may result in an adjustment to the scope and compensation)
