(Senior) Production Team Leader

About the Position

We are seeking a (Senior) Production Team Leader to manage and optimize staffing in the team to ensure all production targets are achieved and exceeded.

Responsibilities

• Conduct shift handover meetings for morning and evening shifts.
• Manage and optimize staffing in the team to ensure all production targets are achieved and exceeded (beginning of every shift).
• Check and ensure workers implement and maintain safety regulations and sanitation (5S) in the manufacturing area (hourly).
• Recognize and control the running speed of the machines with operators.
• Control and reduce scraps per each machine in the group.
• Control output hourly; follow up and ensure all orders are completed as planned.
• Assign staff and support team to handle problems related to machines.
• Guide, check, and ensure staff comply with good practices and processes in production.
• Prepare production reports as requested and ensure all reports comply with the process.
• Investigate the cause of KPIs not being targeted and provide an action plan.
• Participate in MDI meetings daily and report problems from the previous day.
• Coordinate with Supervisors/related departments to resolve all incidents and develop improvement plans.
• Report to Supervisor hourly about all activities related to production.
• Follow up on the daily target and the completion possibility of each staff; ensure all staff achieve OIP points daily.

Requirements

• Diploma (Vocational) or higher in a technical field, or equivalent professional qualification.
• 5+ years of directly related experience with 1+ year of team leader or equivalent experience preferred.
• Can work in shifts.
• Strong skills in production control and process innovation.
• Strong ability to lead, train, and coach a diverse team of individuals performing a variety of tasks.
• Strong customer focus necessary.
• Familiarity with ELS Operating Principles.
• Ability to think ahead, anticipate problems, make decisions, and take appropriate action.
• Good coordination, planning, written, and verbal communication skills.
