What we are looking for:
At GFT, we are seeking a Senior Project Manager / Program Manager with solid experience in banking to lead a strategic program for core banking modernization. The selected individual will be responsible for defining and governing the program's execution, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of complex legacy transformation initiatives into more modern environments, with high standards of quality, control, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Comprehensive program management: scope, planning, resources, risks, and stakeholders.
- Definition of the execution strategy and joint validation with the client; definition and monitoring of progress KPIs.
- Orchestration of stakeholders (Core Factory, Pods, Cloud) to ensure timely and quality deliveries.
- Governance of deliverables, change control, dependency management, and escalation of blockages.
- Executive reporting, relationship with senior client stakeholders, and follow-up committees.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in managing complex technology programs, ideally in banking.
- Demonstrable experience in legacy or mainframe modernization programs.
- Management of multidisciplinary teams of 20+ people and multiple suppliers.
- PMP / PRINCE2 / SAFe certification or equivalent.
- Advanced English and Spanish.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in banking or similar environments (Cells, ASO, APX, GFT governance).
- Functional knowledge of the modernization cycle with AI.
- Experience with hybrid methodologies (waterfall + agile).
