Senior Python Developer

About the Position

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join our fintech team. This role involves working on user-friendly interfaces, data processing logic, and system integrations that support compliance, transparency, and operational efficiency. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, analysts, and SMEs, and contribute to the development of reporting tools. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data processing logic, and system integrations.
• Participate in release planning, testing, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with SME, business analysts, and client team.
• Support client demos, gather feedback, and improve product functionality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development using Python
• Strong hands-on experience with Flask or Flask-RESTful for building scalable microservices
• Solid knowledge of containerization and deployment using Docker
• Understanding of CI/CD processes (preferably GitHub Actions, Kubernetes)
• Experience with data integration, transformation, filtering, and report generation/export
• Familiarity with relational databases and experience working with stored procedures (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Ability to collaborate in Agile/Scrum environments and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
• Experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) in day-to-day development tasks

Nice to Have

• Understanding of IFRS or other financial reporting standards
• Experience working on financial, tax, or accounting-related systems
• Familiarity with Celery, vector databases, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures
• Experience integrating or developing AI-powered features within backend systems
• Experience building AI-powered solutions or integrating AI pipelines/APIs into software projects
