Senior Python Developer

About the Position

Join an embedded, fast-moving technology team within the Financial Services sector that helps investment professionals generate alpha by applying new technologies, techniques, and datasets. You will build scalable data pipelines and analytics over structured and unstructured data, using parallel processing in the cloud (AWS), and take ideas from whiteboard to prototype to production. You will also get hands-on exposure to LLM prompt engineering and AI/ML workflows using tools such as GPT-4, Gemini, and Claude.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable data pipelines and analytics over structured and unstructured data.
• Utilize parallel processing in the cloud (AWS).
• Develop from whiteboard to prototype to production.
• Engage in LLM prompt engineering and AI/ML workflows.
• Experience in planning, designing, leading, and executing technical solutions and improvements.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a technology-related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, etc.).
• Strong Experience in RDBMS and AWS.
• Experience with object-oriented programming principles and Data Structures.
• Knowledge of Cloud computing concepts (AWS) and using CI/CD tools.
• 6+ years of enterprise development experience.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks concurrently.

Skills

• Track record of engineering experience by processing large datasets and building scalable applications.
• Rapid Prototyping.
• Background in enterprise development with a consistent record of bringing projects from inception to delivery in ambitious timeframes.
• Solid experience in Object-Oriented Programming.
• Solid experience in developing custom Data Pipelines.
• Familiarity with extracting data from REST APIs.
• Demonstrable experience developing scripting in Linux and Windows.
• Experience with migrating applications to AWS (Cloud) is an added advantage.
