Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join our media project, which is focused on developing a management system for advertising companies. The company is one of the largest streaming services in the United States.

Back-end is written in Ruby on Rails and based on microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Developing new services and exposing them as APIs
• Adding new functionality to existing systems, while constantly improving usability, quality, performance, and scalability
• Developing unit tests
• Contributing to the proprietary test framework
• Performing code review
• Solving interesting problems, such as scaling applications for large data computation and reporting
• Contributing to the requirements, architecture, and implementation of existing and future systems
• Taking part in calls with customers

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with Ruby/Rails
• Implementing REST APIs
• Data model design
• Experience with high-load and low-latency systems
• Microservices architecture
• SQL
• OOP knowledge
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• English - Upper-Intermediate
