Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer with 4+ years experience to join our media project in the United States, developing a management system for advertising companies. The company is one of the largest streaming services in the United States.

Back-end is written in Ruby on Rails and based on microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Developing new services and expose them as APIs;
• Adding new functionality to existing systems, while constantly improving usability, quality, performance and scalability;
• Developing unit tests;
• Contributing to proprietary test framework;
• Performing code review;
• Solve interesting problems, such as scaling applications for large data computation and reporting;
• Contribute to the requirements, architecture and implementation of existing and future systems;
• Take part in calls with customer.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Ruby/Rails experience;
• Implementing REST APIs;
• Data model design;
• Experience with high-load and low-latency systems;
• Microservices architecture;
• SQL;
• OOP knowledge;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
• English - Upper-Intermediate.
