Senior SAP ABAP Developer

About the Position

We are looking for a Senior SAP ABAP/BTP Developer to work on a strategic SAP S/4HANA implementation project using a Greenfield model. The professional will be responsible for developing robust solutions, following Clean Core principles, with a strong focus on modern technologies within the SAP ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Develop ABAP solutions tailored for the S/4HANA environment
• Design and implement applications using the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP), an essential requirement for this role
• Develop and optimize OData services, covering both V2 and V4
• Work with advanced CDS Views, including annotations, associations, and extensions
• Apply performance best practices tailored to SAP HANA
• Ensure adherence to Clean Core principles, applying In-App and Side-by-Side extensibility when applicable
• Participate in technical definitions and contribute to solution architecture discussions
• Analyze and resolve findings from code quality tools such as ATC, and provide technical support during testing and go-live cycles

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in ABAP development
• Proven experience working on SAP S/4HANA projects
• In-depth knowledge of the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP)
• Experience with CDS Views (Core Data Services)
• Experience with OData Services, mainly V4
• Strong knowledge of performance optimization for SAP HANA
• Experience with code quality tools, such as ATC and Code Inspector
• Knowledge of Clean Core principles
• Strong written and spoken proficiency in English at a B2 level or higher

Nice to Have

• Experience working on Greenfield projects
• Knowledge of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform)
• Experience with Fiori for building user interfaces
• Knowledge of In-App and Side-by-Side extensibility approaches
• Knowledge of Integration Suite for managing integrations within the SAP ecosystem
