Senior SAP Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Senior SAP Engineer to join our team full-time in Spain. Responsibilities

• Design, extend, and validate integrations between internal & external source systems and Kinaxis.
• Design and deliver new interfaces between Source Systems and Kinaxis Maestro.
• Adjust Kinaxis Data Model & Data Sources and Mappings according to solution needs for EMS.
• Design and set up integration in BTP from various source systems.
• Deliver integrations with External Manufacturers to get data into Kinaxis Maestro platform (stock, planning, capacity, order, others).
• Ensure consistency with the established integration architecture, standards, and SAP BTP integration approach.
• Take ownership of integration design and validation for the in-scope planning domains.
• Act as the primary integration point between Business and Product stakeholders, Kinaxis Maestro functional and product teams, and SAP integration and development teams.
• Develop integrations between source systems and Kinaxis Maestro.
• Collaborate with Product Team and Solution Architect to define data object requirements and specifications for Data Model.
• Translate business requirements to technical mappings between SAP and Kinaxis Maestro.
• Work closely with developers to follow the preferred integration approach using SAP BTP approach.
• Define and execute test cases in collaboration with business and test manager to validate mappings, data quality, and business logic.
• Ensure clear and comprehensive documentation.
• Ensure end-to-end testing of data objects and integrations between product teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience with ABAP.
• Proven experience with SAP BTP.
• Proven experience with SAP.
• Deep working knowledge of SAP ECC data structures relevant to planning/supply chain.
• Solid understanding of BAPI-based write paths vs. direct table manipulation, and the data-consistency risks of bypassing standard APIs.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA data model differences from ECC (especially where table structures or field semantics change).
• Hands-on experience building and operating integrations on SAP BTP.
• Practical experience with both synchronous (API-based) and asynchronous (event/queue-based) integration patterns.
• Understanding of BTP security models (OAuth2, principal propagation, destination services).
• Proven experience integrating SAP with non-SAP planning systems (fx APS systems).
• Strong written documentation skills - specs need to survive handoff to other engineers/contractors.

Nice to Have

• Direct Kinaxis Maestro experience, especially integration.
• Prior involvement in an ECC-to-S/4HANA migration specifically for planning/supply chain modules.
• Familiarity with SAP Master Data set ups.
• Background in manufacturing/supply chain domain.
• Certification in SAP BTP or Integration Suite.
