About the Position
We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will play a critical part in protecting the organization's systems, data, and infrastructure against evolving cyber threats. You will collaborate across multiple teams to strengthen the overall security posture while driving continuous improvements in processes, tools, and practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures to safeguard IT systems and sensitive data
- Triage cybersecurity-related requests across various teams and manage security ingestion queues to ensure timely handling of issues
- Design, review, and audit automation scripts and tools using Python to streamline IAM processes and improve operational efficiency
- Define, manage, enforce, and review access permissions and entitlements based on least privilege and separation of duties principles
- Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, and support both internal and external audit activities
- Monitor and analyze security metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that enhance security posture and efficiency
- Collaborate closely with IT, DevOps, and other teams to embed security into development and deployment processes, and contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at strengthening overall security
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical discipline
- At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity operations or related roles
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, and similar technologies
- Proven experience managing projects, designing process workflows, and updating policies, processes, and procedures
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to investigate issues and drive effective solutions
- Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork abilities to collaborate across diverse teams
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at a B2+ level or higher
Nice to Have
- Industry-recognized security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or equivalent credentials demonstrating advanced expertise in cybersecurity
