Job description

About the Position

At NetApp, our High Achievement Principles shape how we work: we innovate to elevate, drive results, and excel as a team. We have a history of helping customers turn challenges into business opportunities. That’s because we bring new thinking to age-old problems, like how to use data most effectively in the most efficient possible way. As an Engineer with NetApp, you’ll have the opportunity to work with modern cloud and container orchestration technologies in a production setting. You’ll play an important role in scaling systems sustainably through automation and evolving them by pushing for changes to improve reliability and velocity.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deliver capabilities across Go Microservices and React applications.
  • Shape architecture and system design for secure, event-driven services, APIs, and data models on Kubernetes.
  • Make trade-offs across scale, multi-tenancy, reliability, security, and cost.
  • Build responsive, accessible React and TypeScript experiences on well-designed APIs.
  • Lead design discussions with partner teams and help set engineering practices.
  • Clear most blockers yourself, and raise major risks early with options.
  • Mentor engineers and coordinate work across teams.
  • Raise reliability through testing, CI/CD, observability, SLOs, and incident analysis.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years of applicable software development experience is required.
  • Strong experience with production Go services, including concurrency, profiling, and tuning.
  • Strong system design and architecture skills for scalable, resilient Microservices and APIs (REST, GraphQL, or gRPC).
  • Hands-on experience with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or Redis, including data modeling, indexing, and query tuning.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems: Kafka or NATS messaging, caching, idempotency, and consistency.
  • Solid experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, CI/CD, and observability such as Prometheus or OpenTelemetry.
  • Understanding of OAuth2/OIDC, RBAC, multi-tenancy, and secrets management.
  • Experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and reusable UI components.

Education

  • A minimum of 8 years of applicable experience is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred, not required.

We Offer

  • Competitive salary
  • Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies
  • Collaborative and innovative work environment
  • Professional growth and development opportunities
