About the Role

An experienced Senior Systems Engineer (HCI / Hybrid Cloud) is sought to join a highly skilled infrastructure engineering team. In this role, you will design, implement, and support modern cloud infrastructure solutions for enterprise environments, working with cutting-edge technologies in hyperconverged infrastructure, private cloud, and hybrid cloud.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect modern hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) and hybrid cloud solutions
• Lead enterprise infrastructure projects throughout the entire lifecycle - from requirements gathering and solution design to implementation and operational support
• Build scalable software-defined compute, storage, and networking environments
• Collaborate with customers to understand business requirements and deliver tailored infrastructure solutions
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of the cloud services portfolio
• Provide technical expertise during pre-sales activities, supporting both customers and sales teams
• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure high-quality solution delivery and operational excellence

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
• Several years of hands-on experience designing and operating private cloud infrastructures
• Strong background in system engineering, including compute, storage, networking, and virtualization
• Experience with hyperconverged infrastructure platforms such as Nutanix, VMware vSAN, or similar technologies
• Solid knowledge of virtualization platforms, including VMware ESXi, AHV, KVM, or Hyper-V
• Good understanding of Software-Defined Infrastructure concepts
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Rubrik, Veeam, HYCU, or equivalent
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible is considered an advantage
• Knowledge of container platforms (Kubernetes) and cloud-native technologies is a plus
• Strong communication skills in both German and English
