Responsibilities

Design and optimization of gear tools, tool holders, and manufacturing processes in the field of gear shaving / power skiving
Conducting feasibility analyses, cycle time calculations, collision checks, and technical evaluations of customer parts
Development and optimization of cutting strategies and analysis of workpiece quality, process parameters, and gear measurement data
Construction and 3D modeling of tools, clamping means, and components including technical documentation
Planning, execution, and evaluation of test series as well as systematic error analysis and troubleshooting
Contribution to the further development of software solutions and simulation models in the field of gear technology
Close cooperation with design, CNC/PLC programming, application engineering, purchasing, service, and external partners and tool manufacturers
Participation in the development and technology projects as well as participation in expert committees and working groups

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or comparable technical qualification; alternatively, mathematician or software developer with strong technical understanding
Several years of experience in gear technology, machine tool construction, tool manufacturing, application engineering, or process development
Very good knowledge in gear shaving / power skiving, gear hobbing, gear grinding, cutting geometry, and metal cutting technology
Experience in gear measurement technology, process optimization, workpiece analysis, and ideally machine dynamics / NVH
Good programming skills in Python, C#, C++, MATLAB, as well as knowledge in SQL and technical software solutions
Advantageous are knowledge in NC programming, CAD systems (e.g., SolidWorks), FEM, materials science, and gear simulation
Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working method with high technical affinity and enjoyment of interdisciplinary development work
