Senior Test Automation Engineer

Due to our ongoing growth and the large number of recruitment projects we undertake for our partners, we are currently looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our team in Warszawa, Gdańsk, or Gdynia.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated test cases in close cooperation with developers, manual testers, Product Owners, and business experts
• Increase automated test coverage across both frontend and backend flows, reducing reliance on manual testing
• Perform performance and non-functional testing, particularly using JMeter
• Prepare, gather, and manage test data required for different testing scenarios
• Monitor, analyze, debug, and document automated test execution results
• Identify gaps in test automation and proactively drive improvements in test coverage and testing processes
• Support QA activities across the delivery team and promote a strong automation mindset
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing frameworks, tools, and practices
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines and support their execution as part of the software delivery process
• Cooperate with technical and business stakeholders to ensure appropriate test coverage and overall solution quality

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in test automation, covering web applications and REST API or service-level testing
• Strong practical experience with Java and the ability to use it effectively when developing and maintaining automated tests
• Good knowledge of software testing principles, ideally supported by knowledge at ISTQB Foundation level or equivalent
• Hands-on experience with modern test automation tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, REST Assured, Postman, Maven, and Chrome DevTools
• Practical experience in performance testing, preferably with JMeter
• Very good working knowledge of Git and strong experience working with Bamboo
• Experience with test management and delivery tools such as qTest, Jira, and Confluence
• Familiarity with Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) and experience working with Gherkin
• Ability to independently support and drive QA activities within a delivery team and identify opportunities to improve test automation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with developers, testers, Product Owners, and business stakeholders
• A proactive approach to quality and willingness to continuously improve test automation practices and technical skills
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
