About the Position
We are currently looking for a Senior Web Tracking Developer / Analyst to join our global EPAM team. In this role, you will focus on implementing, maintaining, and optimizing sophisticated website and app tracking solutions using advanced tag management systems and analytics platforms.
**Please note: **This is not a frontend web development role. Your focus will be purely on tracking implementation, data collection architecture, privacy compliance, and analytics enablement to help our clients make data-driven decisions. Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and configure complex tracking tags, triggers, and variables within Tealium iQ and Google Tag Manager (GTM)
- Design and maintain GA4 event tracking schemas, custom dimensions/metrics, and custom channel groupings
- Test, validate, and troubleshoot tracking implementations (including dataLayer verification) in close collaboration with web development and QA teams
- Integrate and maintain marketing and advertising pixels (Meta, Google Ads, Bing, Floodlight) via tag management systems, and perform end-to-end testing alongside media agencies
- Create and maintain comprehensive tracking documentation, data schemas, and implementation guidelines for internal and client stakeholders
- Act as a subject matter expert for web tracking, consulting client stakeholders, and mentoring junior team members on tracking best practices
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in web analytics implementation and tracking development
- Proven expertise with Tealium iQ and/or Google Tag Manager (GTM)
- Deep working knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) setup, configuration, and reporting
- High proficiency in JavaScript for writing custom tags, data manipulation, and debugging tracking issues
- Strong understanding of HTML & CSS to interpret DOM structures, select elements, and perform browser-level debugging
- Solid experience with dataLayer design and event-driven data collection architectures
- English Level: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical tracking concepts to non-technical audiences
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Mobile App Tracking (Firebase, Tealium Mobile SDKs)
- Understanding of Server-Side Tagging (GTM Server-Side or Tealium EventStream)
- Knowledge of Data Privacy Regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and Consent Management Platforms (CMP) like OneTrust or Cookiebot
