About the Position

Senior/Lead C++ Software Engineer

In this role, you will join the Client Platform team responsible for the foundation of a desktop application used by more than 45 million developers worldwide. You will work on the native layer of an Electron-based application, focusing on custom Electron patches, build infrastructure, and packaging processes that enable reliable and high-performance releases across Windows, macOS, and Linux. Responsibilities

• Evolve the C++ patches applied on top of the Electron project to support the client's desktop requirements
• Own the packaging and build steps used to produce desktop binaries across Windows, Mac, and Linux
• Work with a Node.js-based tooling layer that supports the build/packaging process
• Participate in the full development lifecycle, from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews with other engineers
• Collaborate with QA to define test coverage for native/platform-level changes and help troubleshoot issues found in testing
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes, ensuring builds are reliably tested and released
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing across the team

Requirements

• Strong professional experience in C/C++
• Familiarity with Node.js
• Experience with Electron, specifically maintaining custom patches on top of the open-source project
• Native-level familiarity with one or more of Windows, macOS, or Linux; multiple platforms is a plus
• Experience with build and packaging pipelines for cross-platform desktop applications
• Clear and confident communication skills in English, both spoken and written
