About the Role
As a Principal Platform Architect, you will make an impact by serving as a trusted strategic advisor to customers, helping them maximize the value of their ServiceNow investment through platform vision, governance, architecture, AI adoption, and roadmap planning. You will be a valued member of the ServiceNow advisory team and work collaboratively with customer executives, enterprise architects, platform owners, delivery teams, implementation partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive business outcomes and long-term platform success.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic platform architecture discussions, translating business objectives into scalable ServiceNow platform roadmaps and adoption strategies.
- Advise customers on technical governance, platform health, data architecture, integration strategy, and architectural best practices to ensure maintainability, security, performance, and upgradeability.
- Influence senior IT leaders, Enterprise Architects, Directors, and Vice Presidents on platform strategy, technology investments, and AI transformation initiatives.
- Conduct solution design reviews, identify risks proactively, and provide guidance to ensure alignment with ServiceNow standards and long-term business outcomes.
- Guide customers in the adoption of ServiceNow AI capabilities, including Now Assist, AI Agents, agentic workflows, and AI governance frameworks.
- Mentor Platform Architects and technical consultants by sharing architectural frameworks, best practices, and technical expertise across engagements.
- Partner with customer and internal teams to drive platform health assessments, remediation plans, risk mitigation strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, platform consulting, digital transformation, or ServiceNow advisory roles.
- 8+ years of experience working with the ServiceNow platform in architecture, consulting, or professional services environments.
- Proven experience leading platform strategy, architecture governance, and roadmap planning for large enterprise customers.
- Deep expertise in ServiceNow platform architecture, including data models, CMDB, integrations, platform security, performance, and lifecycle management.
- Strong experience conducting solution design reviews and advising on technical governance, technical debt remediation, and platform health optimization.
- Experience engaging and influencing executive stakeholders, including Directors, VPs, Enterprise Architects, and technology leaders.
- Strong understanding of AI-enabled enterprise transformation and practical experience advising on AI adoption strategies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, consulting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel as required to support customer engagements.

- Certified Implementation Specialist (minimum one workflow certification)

- Now Assist Executive Micro-Certification
- Agentic AI Executive Micro-Certification

Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or active pursuit of certification

Certified Master Architect (CMA) or active pursuit of certification.

Expertise across multiple ServiceNow workflows such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, FSM, SecOps, or GRC.

Experience delivering executive-level technology strategy and enterprise architecture initiatives.

Knowledge of TOGAF or other enterprise architecture frameworks.

Experience leading AI governance, responsible AI adoption, and organizational change management programs.

Demonstrated thought leadership through mentoring, architectural frameworks, best-practice development, or community contributions.
