About the Position

We are seeking a Shopify Engineer with 3+ years of professional development experience to join our US-based ecommerce studio, specializing in Shopify design and development.

Important Requirement

This is a fully remote position, however candidates must be available to work standard US Eastern Time business hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM New York time).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Shopify storefronts
  • Build custom theme functionality, sections, templates, and integrations
  • Implement ecommerce features including subscriptions, upsells, bundles, promotions, and personalization experiences
  • Collaborate closely with designers to build high-quality, implementation-accurate experiences
  • Work with project managers and stakeholders to understand business requirements and technical constraints
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex ecommerce and storefront issues
  • Ensure work meets Peachy’s quality standards through thorough self-testing and QA before release
  • Optimize storefront performance, usability, and scalability
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical best practices
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve user experience and business outcomes

Requirements

Technical Skills

  • 3+ years of professional Shopify development experience
  • Strong experience with Shopify theme development
  • Advanced knowledge of Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive development
  • Experience working with Shopify APIs and custom integrations
  • Experience with Git and modern development workflows
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities
  • Understanding of Shopify app integrations and ecommerce ecosystems
  • Experience optimizing storefront performance and Core Web Vitals

Ecommerce Experience

  • Understanding of ecommerce customer journeys and conversion best practices
  • Experience implementing cart, checkout, subscription, and upsell experiences
  • Familiarity with subscription platforms such as Recharge is preferred
  • Familiarity with Rebuy or similar personalization/cart solutions is preferred
  • Familiarity with Klaviyo integrations, custom events, and tracking is preferred
  • Experience with bundles, product grouping, and promotional logic is a plus
