About the Position
We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our team and manage cloud-based infrastructure using AWS and Kubernetes. In this role, you will help maintain and improve our data infrastructure, which enables us to develop market research products and deliver data to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure using AWS, focusing on services like EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, SQS, and more, utilizing infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform for provisioning and configuration.
- Deploy and manage Airflow in multiple environments, such as staging and production, using Kubernetes to ensure scalable and robust workflow management.
- Automate software deployment processes and manage continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline development and deployment.
- Implement and maintain security best practices for cloud infrastructure to ensure data integrity and compliance with industry standards.
- Manage and optimize cloud resources to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations.
- Collaborate with the development teams to deploy and manage tools such as Airflow, Snowflake, Matillion, DBT, Java Spring Boot Apps, and SQL databases.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability and availability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar role with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strong background in Kubernetes cluster management and Linux/Windows administration.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems, such as Jenkins, GitLab, etc.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with big data and cloud services, such as: AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, DBT, Airflow, and Looker.
